WHAT IS A CERTIFIED AUTISM SPECIALIST?

The certification of a Certified Autism Specialist is awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) which recognizes professionals with specialist level training in the field of Autism. 

Austin was awarded this certification in 2018. To receive this certification, Austin demonstrated knowledge when working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum through passing an Autism Competency Exam as well as completing 14 continuing education hours, completing at least two years experience working in a field that treats or supports individuals with autism, and by earning her master's degree.
